Lockdown Lullaby

Lockdown Lullaby is the only song we wrote in the years of the pandemic. At that time nothing seemed to make any sense, and least of all the notion that anybody would make or need music broaching serious subjects. This song is an attempt to make some kind of sense of whatever that time was, to remember the ghostly streets, the circling hawks and the coyotes walking down the middle of highways. It’s a recognition of the loss and a hope rebirth, that in the ashes of the old world something new would grow, something new, tender and strong. We recorded it at La Masia Music Labs in summer of 2022.

Renewed

Renewed fits as a nice companion piece to Lockdown Lullaby, exploring themes of struggle, loss, and rebirth. It was written in a quiet moment of a particularly rambunctious time celebrating Chilean independence in the Andean mountains.
